Summer Blessings!!

Hya everyone!! We did it!! On May 10th we completed our last day of school and I can assure you that there was much cheering and thanking the Lord going on in this lil house!! We plan to spend our summer reading, swimming and hopefully heading toward Florida to see our Nana, Papa, Tiff and Drew!!! Again, it is such a blessing to be able to teach our lil ones and know that they are getting a solid Biblical foundation in their education! Our baby boy Jacob will be starting school this fall as well. He is going into a preschool program through Sonlight and just can't wait to dig in! Just wanting to check in with you all and hope to see you soon! Love you all!

Winding down the first year of homeschool!!! YAY!!

I am so excited to say that in three weeks we will have DONE IT!!! Yay for us!! God has had His hand on the Hensley Homeschool Academy over the last 33 weeks and we are so thankful for His daily filling of grace to keep on keepin' on! Early on in the beginning of the year, I had this gut wrenching feeling of what have I done? I was concerned for several reasons such as:
Should I take them away from their friends?
Will they be crippled socially?
Am I capable of teaching them the skills needed without a teaching degree?
Will I be able to stay in this for the long haul?
I can thankfully say, yes!, no!, yes! and yes! again!!! We don't have it all together here by any means but we have learned that if God brings you to it He will bring you through it! Amen!! So, if you are concerned if homeschooling is right for your family, just know that with God's help you can do all things through Him!! My relationship with my girls has grown so much over the last year. Having that daily Bible study time together everyday is awesome. Being able to take our life experiences and compare them to Bible experiences has been wonderful. Study is key to incorporating God's Word into your lives and your childrens lives. For a long time I thought they were just too small to understand how to apply God's Word to their lil lives but that is never the case. IT APPLIES!! Talk to you soon!! (I hope anyway!! The little homeschool that could...

Well, what can I say but that? We are definitely the little homeschool that could... We have begun this journey with the Lord and fully intend to end the same way. I have to admit though, when Roy and I were first starting to Homeschool our girls, I was a little apprehensive about whether God had given me the skills to do so. BUT..day by day, God has given Roy and I the grace to be able to do it. I am so thankful for that grace today. The Lord just amazes me with His love!

Phillipians 1:6
